5aSide Liga was created as a way to enjoy 5 vs. 5 soccer in a fun and friendly environment. In its first addition the league will consist of four teams with 10 games at Mississauga soccer club.
COST:
· The team fee must be paid by January 16th 2012. If you have questions please contact the organizer ASAP.
RULES:
The rules for the 5aSide Liga are the following:
· This is a friendly league and an honor system is in place. If there are any escalations it will be settled by the organizer
· No Charging/sliding tackles or rough housing
· 8 regular season matches and 2 play off matches
· Matches are on Thursday night at 10 pm or 10:30 pm on field 2 or 3 at Mississauga Soccer Club. The timing will be evenly distributed between all teams
· A match consists of two 25 minute half’s
· A size 4 ball will be used unless it is not available
· Each team member must wear a color that corresponds to their team
· Only the goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball within penalty area
· A back pass may not be picked up by the goalkeeper.
· There are no offside rules
· Headers are allowed.
-No RINGERS!!
Additionally, metal studded boots or blades cannot be worn, as it damages the playing surface. Players are also required to wear shin pads.
